Memo No. 041-21: Opening of 2021-2020 Data Collection and Release of the Adult Student Profile Document
The Program Year 2021-2022 collection window of the state adult education management information system (MIS) is expected to open by September 3, 2021. It will be open for data entry through July 29, 2022.
Programs must use the 2021-2022 Adult Student Profile Document (ASDP) for every student served and maintain this documentation. Page one, which may be shared with students, is available online. Pages two through five, which programs must use to document students’ assessment, attendance, and attainment information, are attached to this memo.
In accordance with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II, Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) regulations, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is required to monitor local and regional program data entry at least once per quarter. By the end of the first quarter of the 2021-2022 program year (September 30), it is expected that programs will have created class and staff records and begun the process of creating or rolling forward student records in the MIS. In future months, program data should be entered no later than the 20th day of the following month, as stated in Director’s Memo #012-19. The VDOE staff will correspond with program managers throughout the year pursuant to the program’s data trends, accuracy, and completeness.
Use the following legend to designate the “class enrollment type” of each class in order to align with the 2021-2022 Schedule of Classes, attached to Director’s Memo #038-21:
