SPRING 2022 CLASS OFFERINGS

Beginning English Classes

These courses are offered at up to 3 different learning levels and focus on overall English skills for survival, community involvement, work, and family. Classes are available at different times of the day and meet multiple days of the week, with 2-days/week and 3-days/week options).

 

Family Learning Program (FLP) Classes

FLP classes provide language and literacy education to empower adults to participate more fully and confidently in their children’s education. They also integrate interactive literacy activities between parent and child.

 

Skills-based Classes (in-person only)

Designed for those who would like to focus on a particular language skill, LCNV offers two Skills-based classes this Fall: Intro to Writing (eligibility by oral proficiency assessed at intake) and a Free Conversation Class.

HOW TO SIGN-UP FOR CLASSES

  • Start the sign-up process for Online Classes by texting student’s 1) full name; 2) email address; and 3) first language to 1-844-413-1929 or CALL 703-237-0866

Sign up for Online Classes: January 10 – January 28

Students are encouraged to call early as space fills up quickly!

 

  • Sign up for In-Person Classes by attending any in-person registration event starting January 6 -- (see flyer for registration dates and locations). Locations include: Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center, James Lee Community Center, Lorton Senior Center, and William Ramsay Recreation Center. Come prepared by completing and bringing a student profile form with you! Don’t forget to bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
