TESOL Webinar on Adult ESOL in North America
Hello, adult ESOL educators across the United States and Canada!
In celebration of Family Literacy Week, TESOL International’s Adult Education Interest Section is holding a Zoom-based live webinar and panel discussion centered on Adult ESOL across North America. The event is scheduled for:
Friday, 9/23, 3:00-4:00 PM EDT (UTC -4).
We hope to make a Zoom event you won’t just put on in the background of your busy work hours. We want to engage instructors, program administrators, practitioners who work with refugees, and all adult ESOL professionals with efficiently delivered, relevant topics that bring a sense of dynamism and engagement to our field. Join us! We intend to offer working educators an efficient and effective way to catch up on relevant trends in our field and learn about strategies and techniques that are immediately useful in the
ESOL classroom.
Panelists will each deliver a short talk about a teaching resource, programmatic innovation, or pressing challenge to adult ESOL. Audience members will have a chance to learn about a variety of topics and engage via a Q&A session.
We are still looking for panelists! Please email the event organizer directly if you have a great idea for a topic relevant to adult educators in both the US and Canada.
Register in advance to attend: (We plan to use the email you register with as a point of contact for further adult ESOL items) After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
Email the event organizer with any questions. This event is free for both TESOL and non-TESOL members, and we encourage you to forward this invitation to colleagues.
