Memo No. 048-22: Updated Adult Education Calendar of Due Dates

This memo provides notice that the 2021-2022 Calendar of Due Dates has been updated to reflect a new final deadline of June 3, 2022, for the submission of requests for reimbursements for state funds (General Adult Education [GAE], PluggedIn VA, and Race to GED) in the Online Management of Education Grant Awards (OMEGA) system. This reflects a change from the previous deadline of May 13, 2022, published in the Calendar of Due Dates and is in response to school divisions that were otherwise unable to request reimbursement for April payroll.

Complete any final budget amendments and transfers well before the final reimbursement date. Approved budget transfers may take up to a week to post in OMEGA.

This change does not extend the deadline for community college fiscal agents, who must request reimbursements for state funds through paper-based reimbursement forms. These requests are due by May 13, 2022.

Please continue to follow the guidance to expend all state funds before federal funds. The final deadline for federal reimbursement requests is August 19, 2022. 

The revised Calendar of Due Dates for 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, which reflects a similar change, will be available on the Adult Education Grants and Funding webpage.
