Pilot: D&D for Adult Learners
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS for ADULT LEARNERS PILOT CLASS BEGINS in NOVEMBER
Help VALRC recruit for free learner pilot class sessions.
Gaming takes advantage of learners' motivation and fosters creativity while building literacy and collaboration skills. VALRC is working to develop instructional gaming modules that take adult learners on an imaginative journey while strengthening their writing and language skills.
We are currently recruiting students to be part of our pilot cohorts. The pilot classes will meet for 6 hours total (2 hours weekly over three weeks, skipping Thanksgiving week) using Zoom. Students can choose a Monday morning (10 a.m. to noon) or Tuesday night (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) class option. Classes -- and adventures -- begin November 14 or November 15.
We rely on adult educators to help recruit interested learners to take part in our pilot classes. Please:
Print the student flyer and share information about this opportunity with students. Post the flyer on program bulletin boards or other places students can see it.
Forward the student recruitment email to your learners. (Find it below or email Hillary Major, hmajor@vcu.edu, for a version of this email.)
